But then you have another advantage by the way this shot is taken. It's perfect for the use in photo collages or manipulations because it's easy to erase the black background and fill it with something else.
I just had an old 94mm F/1.5 soviet lens (my camera has a built-in lens, it is not an SLR), i put the tripod with it between the droplets and the camera, with the rear end of the lens (the one which you insert in the camera) facing the droplets. It not only magnifies it 2x approx, but also allows me to set my camera's zoom to ultra-telephoto position (380mm)!!! The high aperture is needed so that the corners of the lens don't appear in the pic. The more wideangle the lens, the higher the magnification. But the distortion also gets higher. And the depth-of-field shrinks. With a 38mm F/2.0 lens it is almost impossible to shoot anything but illustrations on paper...
